Films with Deliberately Ridiculous Titles are works that offer an attention grabbing title in the hope that the sheer absurdity, amusement or novelty will get an audience to watch. A film with Deliberately Ridiculous Title may not necessarily be a Deliberately Bad Film, which are films made in a style designed to mock cheap production values, bad effects or cheesy dialogue of previous eras. Some of these are even serious films once you get past the title.
The fad began in the 1950s with films such as I Was a Teenage Werewolf (1957) and I Married a Monster from Outer Space (1958). Assorted examples continue through to the present.
